The client already picked a paint color prior to our consult, so I had to start off with that. She had selected Flannel Gray by Behr. Both her room, and her neighboring sons room, are being painted the same color.

The 1929 Cape style home has a deceiving amount of space, including deep closets (something I VERY much envy in my 1920's home). The "master" bedroom has two closets, but that means I had to work off of every wall having either a door or window. Also, the client has newer furniture not quite ready to be replaced. The plan is updating the bed linens and window coverings, some art, an area rug or two; all of that with the new paint color should give these spaces the new look the client deserves.
The client had one request, and that was no pink! So I opted for a slightly more muted, more modern, but still feminine palette. The young boys room will include a headboard, toy storage, and hints of baseball throughout.
I cannot wait to share the progress on these spaces! I'll be updating so stay tuned here or over at Instagram to be in the know!
Moms room is subtle and moody. Gray walls and black furniture are softened with textured linens, touches of gold, and fresh greenery. |
Sons room is youthful, sporty, and organized. |
