Walt Disney World, Day 3

I love Epcot days. We always sleep in, take a dip in the pool, have a late breakfast, and take it easy. We usually don't head to the park until later, because we like to do dinner there, and there's typically some drinking involved. This time was no different, and we did just that.

We left for the park after lunch. It was the hottest day of our vacation. High 90's, felt like 103. We got through the gates and hurried over for a little photo with Pluto. Penny's first character! She did NOT cry, but she was bit skeptical. We wondered around for a while, and nobody seemed interested in rides or attractions, just heading to the World Showcase to get their drink on.

We started in Mexico, margs and guac. It was delicious. We were getting brain freeze after brain freeze though. We did some shopping there, daddy bought Pens a pink maraca.

Next was China. We tried a Chinese beer, Tsing Tao. It was quite good.

After that, Germany. German beer is always a killer. Chris and I had something called Otoberfest that was excellent, and Lou had a grapefruit beer that was good, although sweet. We had dinner reservations here, so we will come back.

Next stop was Italy, where we skipped alcoholic beverages, and took photos instead. Me and Luis took a photo a few years back on front of this fountain, and now married with a baby, we get to update it.

Then we got to Japan. Me and Melissa decided to pick a pearl here. There are some girls who will shuck the oyster of your choosing, and inside will be a pearl, which you may have made into a necklace. Daddy picked one for Nelope, and we got a lovely 7mm blue pearl. Melissa also received a 7mm pearl, and hers, a pinkish hue. She had hers placed in a birdcage style necklace, and we opted just to take ours home.

It was just about dinnertime, so back to Germany we went. We had reservations at Beirgarten. It's buffet style German cusine, and beer is served in gigantic steins. They have an authentic band playing traditional German music, with bells and horns and accordions. We ate sausage and meats and potatoes and salads, and drank a ton. We had the most adorable server. He had worked in the Beirgarten for 30 years! He payed extra special attention to Penny, giving her stickers, and making her a little Mickey cup. We really enjoyed our time here and we're glad we came.

Afterwards, we headed to the rest of the countries, but Luis and I threw in the towel and just picked up an esspresso somewhere between England and Canada. We headed back to the busses, as it was late and Penny was getting restless.

Back at the resort, Lou and Chris went to the pool for drinks and swimming, and I stayed behind, baths and bedtime for the girls. Tomorrow is another day.
