Walt Disney World, Day One

Today was a long, long day. I'm so tired, but Penelope is a champ, crawling around, terrorizing our room, like she hasn't been up since 3 a.m.

We started our day at 2:50. Well, I started it much earlier, since Penny woke me up at 1, then I started remembering all the things I didn't do, so sleep never came back.

Lou's parents took us to the airport, where we met up with my brother, Chris, and his fiance, Melissa. We flew JetBlue, as I always do, and departed promptly at 6 a.m.

Penelope fell asleep during takeoff, and slept for a little over an hour. When she woke up, she was laughing, playing, and winning over all of the hearts of flight 27. The only time she cried was when I changed her diaper in the lavatory. She was an angel and definitely earned her wings.

Once we landed, we headed to collect our luggage, and headed to the Magical Express. It was about a 35 minute ride to our resort (All-star Sports) from the airport (MCO). Penelope made friends with the lady behind us, and photobombed the couple in front of us. The check in to our hotel was easy since I did everything online before we left. However, we were early and our rooms were not ready. We grabbed a bit of lunch while we waited.

In the meantime, Luis' friends, Andy and Alison joined us for lunch. They live in Florida and Lou doesn't see them much, they happened to be in Orlando at the same time as us, so it was a nice coincidence.

During lunch, I got the text letting us know our rooms were ready, so we got straight to it. Located in the tennis buildings, a 3 minute walk. Not bad, and we could always use the exercise. We changed into our swimwear, got a drink, and hit up the pool.

After our swim, we went back to the rooms to shower up and get some dinner at Downtow Disney. It's amazing how much has changed since the last time we were here. We had dinner at Splitsville. I had SUSHI!! Lou had pulled pork, Chris had a burger, and Melissa the turkey club.

We did a little shopping, and went back to the resort. We got some amazing Gelato in the food court here. The best.
